Truly, a North Beach hotel suite with a view!
The San Remo Hotel
rooftop Penthouse, offering panoramic views of
North Beach, is the perfect San Francisco getaway
for two. The room has a comfortable queen sized
brass bed, a mini claw foot bathtub, antiques,
stained glass windows and other Victorian era features.
San Francisco’s world famous skyline awaits
guests: from the Art Deco-inspired Coit Tower
atop Telegraph Hill to the strikingly modern
Transamerica Pyramid – visible a mile away
on Columbus Avenue and framed in the foreground
by the Gothic spires of Saints Peter and Paul
Church at Washington Square. Take in the architectural
vista and then watch the evening fog roll in.
You’ll be serenaded by the ringing tones
of cable car bells and the low-pitched foghorns
at Alcatraz Island and the Golden Gate Bridge.
And depending on the time of year, you may hear
the city’s
beloved sea lions barking from their wildlife sanctuary
dock at Pier 39.
Wake up to in-room coffee or tea
and the soothing natural scent of Sandalwood soap.
Greet the day by stepping outside to watch the
fog dissolve.
The room includes:
- Remote control cable TV
- Radio/CD player
- VCR/DVD player
- Mini refrigerator
Relax, there's no phone, so enjoy the getaway!

Guesta are talking . . .
We stayed at the San Remo based on a SF friends suggestion. What a great place. We stayed in the Penthouse, which is priced competitively with lesser hotels in the Union Square area and is the only room with private bath facilities. Located on the roof of the San Remo, it has a fantastic view of Coit Tower and the surrounding North Beach neighborhood.
The location can't be beat, North Beach is full of fun/funky eateries, 3 blocks to Fisherman's Warf area, 3 blocks to the Powell/Mason Cable Car station, cab or cable car to Union Square is 10 minutes or less, China Town is within walking distance.
Not your typical chain style hotel experience, it is a great value for those seeking something a little different.
Two thumbs up for the San Remo!
